“The world expects women to become smaller as they grow older. No thanks. I have other plans. ”
“The world we live in is full of magic, beauty and miracles. I’m astonished by it every single day. I plan to hang on to this belief until I take my last breath..”
After building a successful business on two coasts, writing two books, and speaking to thousands around the world, I've entered a place I call my Sacred Pause. You'll never hear me use the word "retired." What does that even mean? We're tired again?
Let’s stop using that word, can we?
Sacred Pause is the space between what was and what comes next. It’s the pause we must face when life changes us or tosses us for a loop.
And let’s face it, life after 65 is full of loops being tossed at us and transitions that shake us to our core.
This is a place to begin again. A place for creativity, courage, spirituality, beauty, fashion, big bold adventures, and the freedom to become more fully yourself.
For me, this time in my life is about building a bigger, bolder life after 65.
Most of all, Scared Pause is for women (and perhaps a few brave men) who refuse to become smaller as they grow older.
It takes a lot of courage to be happy.
“Life has a way of breaking our hearts a little. We lose people. We face uncertainty. We discover that some dreams come true and others don't. But I've learned that joy isn't something we find. It's something we practice.
I try to do something every day that makes me feel a little more alive. Sometimes that's sharing my writing. Sometimes it's painting. Sometimes it's trying something new that scares me a bit.
What if this part of your life could be the most interesting one yet?
What if there are still big adventures to take, new things to learn, new friendships to make, books to read, places to explore, and parts of yourself you haven't even met yet?
Let’s connect and find ways be courageous together.
